Please be aware that your WMU Gmail/Google account is also needed to access all of the WMU Library resources.
Having trouble?
Library account information is sent out to all students at the beginning of term. Check your inbox.
Most library services authenticate using your WMU Gmail/Google account. We recommend using a Google browser and to log in on browser level.
Log in to Chrome:
If you have more than one account or you share your computer with others, learn how to manage multiple people in Chrome.
If you are having trouble accessing through the above mentioned steps you can try logging in directly through OpenAthens.
1. Go to my.openathens.net
2. Click "Login to MyAthens"
3. Search for "World Maritime University" under the header "Find your organisation"
4. You will be presented with a Google log in, enter your WMU Gmail/Google credentials
5. You will now see a list of resources, click on the one you would like to access
6. OpenAthens will ensure you have access to your selected resource
Make sure to use the credentials emailed to you!
Through our Discovery Service you may find most of the library's online content. To access the discovery service, use the search box labeled "Search collected resources"on the front page of this site. If you are not already logged in you will see a yellow banner at the top of the page, click it to log in. Use your WMU Gmail/Google credentials. Once this step is completed you should have full access to all resources in the discovery service.
In our list of databases you can find all the databases that the library subscribes to. Most of the links in the database list will lead you to a Google log in page. Enter your WMU Gmail/Google credentials to gain access to the databases. It is important you always use the links supplied on this site as they will tell the database in question that you are coming from WMU. If you Google a database it will not know who you are and so you will not gain full access.

ISL Maritime Intelligence and Statista
The links for these databases will take you to an OpenAthens log in. To log in using OpenAthens follow these steps:
1. Find your organisation on the right hand side : search for "world maritime university" in the searchbox
2. You will be presented with a Google log in
3. Enter your WMU Gmail/Google credentials as normal
4. You will now be taken to the relevant page
To log in to i-law you must use the link on the database page or go through the OpenAthens login described below.
An account is needed to access resources, to create an account you will need to click login and select create a corporate account using your WMU gmail account details. The WMU licence allows 5 simultaneous users at a time.
